Stock market update: 176 shares reached a 52-week high on the NSE

Landmark NSE The Nifty index traded 148.95 points up at 15068.05 on Wednesday due to buy in the front line bluechip counter.

Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on the NSE were: Adani Enterprises, Aegis Logistics, BEML, Cummins India, BASF India, DLF, Grasim Industries, IDFC First Bank, Motherson Sumi Systems, Piramal Enterprises, Sterlite Technologies, Tata Motors, Tata Chemicals and UTI AMC.

A total of 42 stocks traded in green in the Nifty50 index, while 8 traded in red on afternoon trading.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Adani Ports SEZ, Grasim Industries and Hindalco Industries were among the top winners, while Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Maruti Suzuki, Eicher Motors and M&M traded red.

BSE Sensex traded with 458.44 points up to 50755.33. Traders saw themselves piling up in metals – iron, irrigation and allied services, textiles, diversified and packaging sectors, while sales were visible in the infrastructure, trade, automotive, IT – hardware and clothing sectors.
